The material that does not stick to the magnetized drum goes for further processing. Shredded waste contains valuable non-ferrous metals such as copper and bronze. The raw material enters the drum screen, where the rotating drum separates the material by size. Waste is just trash, but before sending it to the landfill, the inspector checks it to make sure that valuable material has not been mixed in with it.
The raw material from the screen is evenly distributed along the conveyor and goes to a device called an eddy current separator. Inside it, a rotating magnetic drum creates a strong magnetic field that pushes the non-ferrous metals up through the barrier and into the hopper.
The material that did not pass through the barrier passes through the separator again in case there are valuable non-ferrous metals left. The conveyor sends unnecessary waste to the landfill. Another conveyor is loaded with non-ferrous metals from a separator for sale. He will go to another enterprise, where the raw materials will be divided according to the type of metal.
